From my early days growing up near the banks of the McKenzie River in Oregon, spending weekends fishing for Rainbow Trout and Steelhead from a drift boat, and spending time with family on the water has provided great memories with friends and family. Following College, I worked in the high-tech industry programming and troubleshooting automated equipment for 14 years. I then took my skills on the road travelling and providing systems integration to the engineered wood industry for a couple years. In 2002 I relocated to Northern California to help upgrade the control system at a rather mature cement plant and continued improving the controls there for 18 years. During this time, I built a custom home in the hills of Shasta County and volunteered with the local water district to help the system become more efficient. In 2013 I met my now wife, Teri and we moved from the West Coast to Florida in 2020 to experience the endless summer and boating year-round. We both enjoy learning new things and I have taken numerous ASA sailing classes, 101, 103, 104, also I am a NAUI certified Scuba Diver, and a certified OUPV-6Pack Captain.
