Skip Mansfield has been in the sailing and boating business most of his life. His career has spanned working with Mt. Desert Yacht Yard (Maine), Wm. Edgar John Shipyard in Rye (NY), Atlantic Mutual Insurance Co. (surveyor), and Yachting Magazine (NYC). Richard Bertram brought Skip to Miami and Ft. Lauderdale; he did 2 terms with Northrop & Johnson in sales and sales growth for their large yachts divisions in the US and Europe. Skip formed Emerald Yacht & Ship for brokerage sales in the US. He served as president and developed the market for worldwide yacht charter management services in the US, Mediterranean, and South East Asia regions. On Jan 30, 2015, the Florida Yacht Brokers Association awarded Skip the Lifetime Achievement Award. He was also appointed the “Sailing Ambassador of the Year” for 2014 by the Punta Gorda Sailing Club.
