Scott was born and raised in the Chicago area, though he now lives in beautiful Key West, FL.  Prior to his time in Key West, Scott was the Chief Operating Officer of a private aircraft management/charter business, led flight departments, and held various strategic sourcing and contracting roles for several Fortune 500 companies for about 13 years. In 2018, Scott founded Bluesail Vacation Yachts & Sailing Academy in Key West. His objective was to take all of his experience and training in technology, process management, customer service, leadership, and innovation, then apply it to his passion for sailing to disrupt an industry longing for change. Since then, Bluesail, and Scott’s team, have earned dozens of awards and accolades for customer service and maritime experiences, leading him to ask one more question: “what else can we do to improve this industry?”

In 2022, Scott and Bluesail joined the Pier One Yacht Sales team to expand on their mission of bringing flexibility, integrity, and transparency to the maritime brokerage industry, with Pier One being the perfect cultural fit to aid with this objective. While Scott’s true passion is monohull sailing, the expertise he brings to the Pier One team is expansive. From sportfish and center consoles to express cruisers, motor yachts, and all types of sailing vessels, Scott is the full package. He understands the basic tax regulations for owning a boat as a business, regulations with regard to foreign and domestic built boats, maintenance, and what to expect from recreational or charter boat ownership.
