Turk is a licensed USCG Captain. His love affair with boats began in the mid 1970’s. At that time, he owned a 19′ bowrider and eventually graduated to a 45′ aft cabin “live aboard,” owning several fishing boats in between. During the 1980’s and 1990’s, he frequently moved large fishing boats from Maryland to Florida. Turk’s love affair with boating continues as a broker for Pier One Yacht Sales. Prior to moving to Venice, Florida in 2006, Turk lived in Annapolis, Maryland for 28 years. During that time, he owned and operated a successful engineering and equipment retail company. He was also a member of the Annapolis Yacht Club for more than 25 years. He is currently a member of the Venice Yacht Club where he served as Fleet Captain and was elected to the Board of Directors in 2014.
